UK punk rock group Grandmas House return with their new single "Slaugterhouse" and announce their forthcoming new EP "Anything For You" to be released by Berlin's Duchess Box Records.

Bristolbased punk rock group Grandmas House are set to release their new single, "Slaughterhouse." Out on 30th January, the track offers a visceral and poignant exploration of love, obsession, and the struggles of navigating pain and loss.

Described by the band as a "love song," "Slaughterhouse" delves into a mix of raw emotions. It captures the torment of anticipatory grief, the enduring challenges of living through pain and illness, and the consuming nature of obsession. This powerful track conveys a deeply relatable narrative: the lengths we go to for the people we love, even at great personal sacrifice.

Grandmas House are known for their infectious energy, unapologetic sound, and fiercely honest lyrics. "Slaughterhouse" is no exception, showcasing their signature fusion of fiery punk riffs and anthemic choruses that resonate long after the song ends. The single solidifies their place as one of the most dynamic acts to emerge from the UK's punk scene in recent years.

"Slaughterhouse" is in part inspired by a line from Richard Siken's poem 'wishbone', the line from the poem is "I'll be your slaughterhouse, your killing floor, your morgue and final resting".

Grandmas House; Bristol UK's finest and loudest. The four piece previously a trio have been busy honing their grunge and postpunk influenced sound since the release of last year's riotous 'Who I Am' EP, the success of which saw the band hand picked to work with fashion house Celine, as well as Dr. Martens, cult jewellery brand Tatty Devine and Fred Perry.

The band's 2021 single "Always Happy" was also used in Apple TV's series Bad Sisters.

Citing influences that range from IDLES to Alexander McQueen and Francis Bacon to Nirvana, The Breeders and Boygenius, Yasmin, Poppy, Zoe and Polly are a genuinely unique proposition. Refusing to be pigeon holed, they are here to shake up perceptions with their intelligent, stylish and raucous take on rock music.

'Having spent the last few years honing their craft, and developing their skills in songwriting, the latest music is a real step up on the band's already incredible sound.' PRS

'As per usual, Grandmas House have shown that they are a force to be reckoned with.' CLASH
